Anita Joy Moore has been in lifesaving since 2004.
She joined the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service as a volunteer in 2009 and was certified as a Rescue Crew member in 2011 and Aircrew in 2017.
Born in Singapore and brought up in a rubber plantation on the south tip of Malaysia.
Anita represented Malaysia in netball from the age of 16 until 24. Came over to Australia to complete become an exercise physiologist and studied at UWA. She worked in the mines for Western Mining in WA then was transferred to Phosphate Hill (QLD) and relocated to the Sunshine Coast.
Anita currently works as the Community Education Manager at Alexandra Headland SLSC.
