Air Traffic Controller Naomi McQueen
Naomi McQueen’s aviation career began 20 years ago in air traffic control and she is still enjoying the challenges, responsibility and excitement that her operational role brings. She has recently widened her focus and has taken on positions to support and encourage emerging aviators and women in aviation.
She is currently the Project Officer for the Women of Civil Air Network and Vice-President
of the Sunshine Coast Aero Club. She has a Graduate Diploma in Aviation Management,
Human Factors and is a Controller at Sunshine Coast International Airport, Maroochydore.
She was recently awarded a Certificate of Recognition by Air Services Australia under their ‘Living Our Values’ initiative for her outstanding contribution to International Women’s Day activities as well as educating and encouraging community members to consider a career in aviation.
